What is TIR

What is TIR (and what is it not)? Let’s start with what it is not. Although therapeutic, TIR is not therapy. So what is it? TIR is a structured process that enables a client to fully work through their traumatic experiences and unwanted feelings in a safe environment, free from judgement or interpretation.

It is highly tailored to each individual and best described as integrative learning, as it fully takes into account the client's needs, interests and values, as well as the data they already have but have not yet been able to process or integrate.

It is highly effective in reducing and, in many cases, permanently removing the symptoms caused by a traumatic event, no matter how long ago that event happened.

Life Stress Reduction

What is LSR?

Are you fighting against unwanted thoughts, feelings, behaviour or psychological pain? LSR takes the issues affecting you most and explores each one using a variety of specific person-centred techniques until you feel that issue is resolved, and you are free from past upsets, current life stresses and future concerns.

Traumatic Incident Reduction Facilitation

It is estimated that approximately two million people in the UK are currently living with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), which is a form of acute stress and anxiety that you may develop after being the victim of a violent crime or a witness to a traumatic incident.

At Bounce, we support all victims of: abuse, assault, rape, homicide, terrorism, bullying and many other past or present distressing events. We know what it’s like to live with the harmful effects and can help you with or without a PTSD diagnosis. You may already be functioning on the outside but feeling far from normal on the inside, especially if the experience has made you see the world as a dangerous place. Working with you one-to-one, our trained facilitators will use a combination of TIR and LSR techniques designed to address your needs and resolve your symptoms for good.
